Go digital in the age of Corona

Due to travel, I am now in quarantine in connection with the Corona outbreak. With this unfortunate situation of the global pandemic we all currently find ourselves in, digital collaboration by necessity now can become the norm right across our industry.
I have recently witnessed first hand the dialogue between an architect and the owner of a hotel, both online, resolving issues, through our platform.
The same effect is true in the Swiss Bruttner tunnel project, where Jonathan Dunn from ILF says that “Bimsync has been really good for us. It is really intuitive, a lot of people in the project are using it on a daily basis. It works well, the coordination is intuitive, and it has been fascinating to observe how our workflows are changing with the use of the model as the project hub.”
By facilitating productive real-time collaboration between all stakeholders in construction projects, Bimsync ensures transparency through shared data ownership throughout the life cycle of a building. This in turn fosters trust and improves cost and energy efficiency, making construction more financially, socially and environmentally sustainable.
The main obstacles to achieving the benefits of digitalisation are no longer technological. Collaboration platforms like Bimsync together with our integration partners, can when an enabling environment and a change management philosophy is put in place, help make the most of the transformational potential of digitalisation and its new working practices highlighted by this global emergency.
Take care of yourselves and each other, and keep collaborating.
