“Use IFD Library to generate IDMs”
Cool! The suggestion came from the classification community, and has been on the agenda for some of us already. It is really fantastic to see all the creativity growing around the possibilities for IFD Library.
Who will be the first to come up with a tool here?
Agree. This is the only way to fully achieve a computer-sensible. This is why we have developed a IDM specification tool with such IFD functionality. The tool is used to realise a BIM Manual both as a document and as a direct implementation in the EDMmodelServer(tm).
Agree – EPM has therefore developed a “BIM Manual Tool” that creates a direct implementation of a computer-sensible BIM Manual, e.g. that check-in, check-out & validation of the collection of exchange requirements found in the BIM Manual.
