Google SketchUp now supports IFD!
We have implemented support for IFD Library in SketchUp, so that the user is able to tag objects in the model, with valid IFD terminology. This was possible, due to the great IFC2SKP plug in from SECOM, and the easy to use IFD Library API.

The plug in requires full IFD support in the IFC model something that wasn’t present before version 2x3g of the standard. Since there are only a few implementations of IFC 2x3g we have decided to wait until version 2×4 of IFC is out before we publish the plug in. IFC 2×4 (preview) should be out any day now. When it’s out we’ll update the IFD plug in and make it available for download.
